FRANKLIN SOLDIER KILLED

On Saturday last the sad news was received that Private C. Weldon had been killed in action in France. The young soldier was one of the best known athletes in the district being a prominent footballer and rower, and at the time of his enlistment was secretary of the Franklin Rowing Club.

His loss is keenly felt by his numerous friends in the Huon.
