Wells Arthur
Born Hobart Tasmania the son of William and Eugene Wells of 89 Goulburn Street Hobart a mechanic he embarked Melbourne 25th October 1916 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 2nd Australian Flying Squadron. He became ill in camp in England and was diagnosed with phthisis and on the 22nd February 1917 he returned to Australia on board hospital ship “Karoola” for discharge He died 16th April 1917 at the 11th AGH Melbourne from pulmonary tuberculosis and heart failure and was buried in the Coburg General Cemetery, Coburg, Victoria, Australia WELLS. -On April 16, at Military Hospital, Caulfield, Vic., Arthur Wells, air mechanic, Royal Flying Corps, aged 23, son of late W. and E. Wells, Macquarie Plains. He nobly lived and nobly died for King and Country.
