Whiley, William Thomas

Born 21^st August 1892 Sheffield Tasmania to Thomas William and Emily Mary Ann Whiley (nee Eagling) a farmer who embarked Melbourne 27^th September 1915 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 26^th Infantry Battalion.

Cpl Whiley was serving with the 7th Australian Light Trench Mortar Battery when he was killed in action 4^th July 1918 and is commemorated in the Adelaide Cemetery, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
