White, John Vernon

Born 12^th December 1893 Berriedale Tasmania the son of Lennard and Katherine Mary White (nee Fleming) an orchardist he embarked Melbourne 7^th June 1915 on board “HMAT Wandilla” with the 3^rd Light Horse Regiment

He served with the 26^th Light Horse Militia Forces.

He died 12^th January 1917 at the 1^st Light Horse Ambulance El Arish in Egypt from a gunshot wound to the stomach and was buried in the Kantara War Memorial Cemetery, Suez Canal, Egypt
