White, John Vernon
Born 12th December 1893 Berriedale Tasmania the son of Lennard and Katherine Mary White (nee Fleming) an orchardist he embarked Melbourne 7th June 1915 on board “HMAT Wandilla” with the 3rd Light Horse Regiment
He served with the 26th Light Horse Militia Forces.
He died 12th January 1917 at the 1st Light Horse Ambulance El Arish in Egypt from a gunshot wound to the stomach and was buried in the Kantara War Memorial Cemetery, Suez Canal, Egypt
