Whittingham, Leonard William

 

 

 

 

 

Born Clapton England the son of the late Captain W Whittingham of the “Lanoma” but living in Launceston Tasmania when he enlisted a farmer he embarked 6th December 1916 on board “HMAT Orsova” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.

 He died 14th May 1917 in the Napsbury War Hospital from a nervous condition and was buried in the Hatfield Road Cemetery, St Albans, United Kingdom.
