Born Allbrighton England and listed as a farmer living at “Glengarry” Launceston he

departed Melbourne 26th November 1917 on the SS Indarra.

 

Whilst serving in France with the 7th Brigade Australian Field Artillery he was admitted to hospital with acute appendicitis, invalided back to England but unfortunately died from pneumonia and an embolism.

 

He was buried at Colchester Cemetery, United Kingdom.
