Williams, Robert Saunders

 

 

 

Born Prillhelli Great Britian the son of Samuel Williams he emigrated to Australia in 1912 and commenced employment with Charles Davis Limited and worked there until he enlisted.  He embarked Adelaide on board “HMAT Clan McGillivray” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 52nd Battalion when he was killed in action 7th June 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
