Williams, Sydney Leonard
Born 4th July 1890 Derby Tasmania to Richard Edward and Blanche Helen Williams (nee Beswick) a farmer who departed Melbourne 4th June 1915 on board “HMAT Ajana” with the 15th Infantry Battalion. He was killed in action 7th August 1915 by a bullet to the stomach on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
