Williams, Wilfred Alfred

He was born Hobart Tasmania the son of Kathleen Williams of 36 Queen Street Sandy Bay a labourer who embarked Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

A Court of Enquiry found he was killed in action 5^th October 1917 at Ypres in Belgium after being listed as wounded and missing. He is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
