Wilson, Luke John

Born 17^th September 1877 Epping Tasmania to William and Theresa Wilson (nee Shaw) married with 3 children, a painter who embarked Melbourne 22^nd December 1914 on board “HMAT Ceramic” with the 15^th Infantry Battalion.

He was wounded by a shell in the shoulder at Gallipoli on the 28^th July 1915 and died 6^th August 1915 on board hospital ship “Rewa” en route to Alexandria and was buried at sea.

He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
