Wilson, Luke John
Born 17th September 1877 Epping Tasmania to William and Theresa Wilson (nee Shaw) married with 3 children, a painter who embarked Melbourne 22nd December 1914 on board “HMAT Ceramic” with the 15th Infantry Battalion.
He was wounded by a shell in the shoulder at Gallipoli on the 28th July 1915 and died 6th August 1915 on board hospital ship “Rewa” en route to Alexandria and was buried at sea. He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
