Wing, George James Argent
Born 1893 Ulverstone Tasmania to George Henry and Edith Wing (nee Delaney) a farmer he embarked Hobart 20th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 3rd Light Horse Regiment. Trooper Wing died 6th February 1915 (probably the first Tasmanian to die in WW1) of pneumonia and was buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
