Wood, George Arthur

Born Ballarat Victoria the son of Edwin Arthur and Lucy Wood married a baker he embarked Melbourne 25^th October 1916 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 26^th April 1918 in France when he was hit by a shell and is commemorated in the Mericourt-L'Abbe Communal Cemetery Extension, Mericourt-L'Abbe, Peronne, France.
