Woodhouse, Thomas John
A farmer from Turner’s Marsh and the son of B J Woodhouse he embarked Fremantle 1st April 1915 on board “HMAT Argyllshire” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. Lieutenant Woodhouse was killed in action 9th August 1915 at Lone Pine during a charge from which he did not return. His body was recovered four days later and he is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
