Woods Horace Charles

Born 19^th June 1895 Campbell Town Tasmania to Charles Albert and Emma Woods (nee Rowlands) a ships steward with the Imperial Navy who embarked Sydney 11^th February 1915 on board “HMAT Seang Bee” with the 13^th Infantry Battalion.

Was wounded 30^th April 1915 at the Gallipoli Peninsula and sent to Manchester Hospital England for treatment, returned to Gallipoli 15^th August 1915 to rejoin his Battalion and was killed in action a few days later on 22^nd August 1915.

He is commemorated Embarkation Pier Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
