Woods Teris Oakley
Studio portrait of 2831 Private (later Lance Corporal) Teris Oakley Woods, 26th (later 12th) Battalion of Ranleagh, Tas. A carpenter prior to enlisting, he embarked from Melbourne aboard the HMAT Ulysses (A38) on 27 October 1915. He was wounded in action at, Strazeele, France on 26 May 1918 and died at the 15th Casualty Clearing Station, Renescure, France on 5 June 1918, aged 25. He is buried in the Ebblinghem Military Cemetery, France.
