Woods, Edward

Born Mataura Southland New Zealand the son of William Woods Nevally Dunedin, a cook living at Zeehan Tasmania he embarked Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 12^th October 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in the Tyne Cot Cemetery, Passchendaele, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
