Wright, Charles Nevin
Born 1897 Zeehan Tasmania the son of Charles Alfred and Frances Matilda Wright (nee Statton) a bank clerk who was 2nd Lieutenant in cadets when he enlisted he embarked Melbourne 6th December 1916 on board “HMAT Orsova” with the 40th Infantry Battalion. Cpl Wright died 5th October 1917 in the 22nd General Hospital in France from gunshot wounds to the chest and head and was buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery, France.
