Youl John Beresford Osmond

Born 13^th January 1894 Longford Tasmania the son of Alfred and Annette Frances Youl (nee Wigan) an Engineer he embarked Hobart 20^th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion and the rank of Private.

2^nd Lieutenant Youl was killed in action 5^th May 1917 Bullecourt France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France

YOUL.-On the 6th May killed in action in France. 2nd Lieutenant John Beresford Osmond, 12th Battalion, 1st Australian Division dearly loved youngest son, of Alfred and Annette Youl. Lelghlands. Aged 23 years.
