Born Brunswick Victoria to Vivian John and Kathleen Therese Andrews, was married and living at 81 Melbourne Street Launceston when he enlisted.

He served for some time on HMAS Perth in the Mediterrainean, Battle of Matapan and the evacuation of Greece and Crete.

He died aged 22 years in Australia 24^th Nov 1942 and was buried in the Toowong Cemetery Queensland
