Born Ulverstone Tasmania to James Albert and Florence Frances Bannon he was married and living in Nagambie Victoria when he enlisted. 

KILLED IN ACTION

Mrs J A Bannon  of 23 Victoria St, Ulverstone, late of Gunn's Plains received advice yesterday that her son. Pte.Percy Bannon was killed in action in New Guinea on July 21
