Born 10 May 1915 at 15 Balfour St Launceston to Francis David and Emily Elizabeth Barclay (nee Christian) Lieutenant (Lt) Graham Maxwell Barclay, 2/33 Battalion, of Timaru, New Zealand; formerly of Launceston, Tas. He was a farmer prior to enlisting in November 1939. Lt Barclay was killed in action in Papua on 13 September 1942. He was 27 years of age. Photo Courtesy Australian War Memorial
