Born 12 Apr 1916 Roseneath King Island to William and Elizabeth Alice Mannering Batten (nee Thompson)

BATTEN.-Sgt Len, 2/2nd Pioneers died July 10, 1943 (illness), POW camp, Thailand, loved brother of Don, Garth (Cpl, RAAF), Geo., Mavis (nurse, staff Q.A. Hospital), Hobart, Dorothy (Mrs Haygarth), Naomi, and Alma (Wynyard).
