World War 11 Casualties

If you could spare a few dollars to help with the running costs of this website would be very much appreciated.

Thank you from Gravesites of Tasmania.

Bock, Allan James Henry

Sgt Bock was air gunner on Wellington BJ 963 of No 27 Operational Unit RAF which took off on the 23 June 1943 from Lichfield Staffordshire on a non operational flight.  Nothing was heard from the aircraft after take off and it did not return to base.  It was presumed that the aircraft had crashed into the sea.

All five on board were listed as missing and in 1949 it was recorded that the missing crew had lost their lives at sea.

Sgt Bock is commemorated on the Runnymede (UK) Missing Memorial.
