Bourke, James Joseph
Born Latrobe Tasmania to William and Adela Bourke (nee Hagerty) Pte Bourke was farming at Railton when he enlisted in the army. PTE. J. BOURKE Regret was expressed in the Kentish district at the news of the death of Pte. Jim Bourke, son of Mrs. Adela Bourke, of Railton, and the late Mr. William Bourke. The deceased had been a prisoner of war in Timor for some time, and died of wounds in a prison camp in April, 1942. Prior to enlisting, he was engaged in the agricultural industry at Merseylea.
