DIED OF WOUNDS

Pte Gordon Clark, youngest son of Mrs. M. Clark, of Launceston, who died of wounds in a military hospital in Queensland on February 28, spent his boyhood at Elliott, and after his mother removed to Launceston, he lived for some years with his aunt, Mrs. T. He enlisted from Warwick (Q.), and served for two years in England, Tobruk, Syria and Palestine. He returned to Australia in April, 1942, and spent leave in Launceston and Burnie. He was then drafted to New Guinea. He was wounded in December, 1942.
