DIED ON ACTIVE SERVICE Timor Casualty Pte. Clem Clements, who died in Timor about April 7 on active service, was a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Clements, of Bathurst St., Hobart. He went overseas with the A.I.F last December, after serving in Northern Australia. He was keenly interested in all form of athletics, and was closely associated with the Cananore Football.Club. His father was one of the most prominent athletes in Tasmania in his younger days. At the time of his enlistment Pte Clements was officer in charge of the accounts branch of the Australian Broadcasting Commission in Hobart.
