Cobern, Geoffrey Charles
The Mercury 23 May 1946 PRESUMED DEAD SGT GEOFFREY CHARLES COBERN who was reported missing on May 19, 1943, during RAAF operations over Penfoie, Timor and has now been presumed killed. Sgt Cobern was educated at St. Virgil's College, Hobart, and before enlistment was employed at the Royal Hobart Hospital. He leaves a wife, Nancy, and two sons. He was the son of Mr and Mrs C. W. Cobern, Brisbane St., Hobart.
