Cooke Robert Thomas

Mr and Mrs R. Cooke of Conara have been notified that their son, Pte Robert Thomas Cooke, 2/21st Battalion, who was released from a prisoner of war camp recently died in hospital-at Morotai.

 Pte Cooke enlisted in Victoria and was taken prisoner at Rabaul. He spent his early life at St Marys and Conara. He was a keen sportsman and was a member of the tennis and cricket clubs at Conara.
