TX2817 Cpl Ernest John, 2/40th Battalion, AIF, dearly beloved husband of Alice, 147 New Town Rd., and loved only son of J. O. and L. M. Costello, Eaglehawk Neck; died of illness whilst prisoner of war in Sumatra, May 12, 1945 Requiescat in pace.
