Cubitt, Colin Lloyd
AIRMAN'S DEATH P-Officer C. Cubitt Of Deloraine Mrs M. Cubitt, of Deloraine, has been notified by the Air Bd. of the death of her son. P-Officer Colin L. Cubitt, as the result of air operations on May 21. P-Oflicer Cubitt, who enlisted under the Empire Air Training Scheme in June,1940 graduated as a sergeant wireless-air gunner. He served with the RAF in the Middle East, India, and Burma. Last February he was promoted to commissioned rank. Before he enlisted P-Officer Cubitt lived at Lemana, near Deloraine, where he was farming. He was a member of the Deloraine Wanderers' Football Club, the Deloraine Badminton Club, and the Red Hills Cricket Club. He was educated at the Convent of Mercy Deloraine, and Requiem Mass was celebrated at the Church of the Holy Redeemer Deloraine yesterday by Monsignor Monaghan. The Mercury 1 June 1943
