Davey Bert Leonard
Born 25th April 1907 English Town Tasmania to George and Martha Jane Davey (nee Colgrave and married to Rene Olive Davey (nee Page) of Longford. He was a gunner with the 2/8 Field Regiment RAA when he died of illness on the 5th August 1940. He was buried at Cornelian Bay Cemetery on the 7th Aug 1940 Death of Tasmanian Gunner Reported MELBOURNE, Thursday.-A Tasmanian casualty list issued today reports that Gunner B. L. Davey, artillary, has died of illness while on service in Australia The Mercury 23 Aug 1940
