SOLDIER DROWNED Son of Bridgenorth Residents Advice was received on Saturday by Mr. and Mrs G C Davey, of Forresters Hill, Bridgenorth, that their son, L -Cpl Cyril Douglas Davey, of the AIF, had been accidentally drowned in the Hume Weir, near the Bonegilla military camp, L -Cpl. Davey returned to the camp last Tuesday, after having spent the week-end with his parents He has four brothers and three sisters He will be given a military funeral at Launceston tomorrow afternoon The Mercury 24 Feb 1941
