SOLDIER DIES

Fatally Wounded At Camp

Gnr Edward James Davidson (19) was wounded at a military camp in Tasmania on Saturday morning, and died on his way to hospital.

The bullet, believed to have been discharged when another member of the camp grounded a rifle, entered Davidson's head near the left eye.

The death was reported to the Coroner (Col. Clark), who opened an inquest, which, after evidence of identification had been given, was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
