Duggan Bernard Leo

 

 

 

Born 5th August 1913 264 Harrington Street North Hobart to John Edward and Maud Gertrude Duggan (nee Plummer)

Cpl Duggan was the cameraman on board Beaufort A9-480 which took off from Vivigani Airfield on Goodenough Island on the 5th March 1944 and had only travelled two miles when it crashed for no apparent reason killing all five on board.

It was a night take off flying into haze and it was later thought the pilot had become disorientated.
