Duncanson Leonard

 

 

Born 26th August 1920 at Zeehan Tasmania to James and Bessie Duncanson and was living Brunswick Victoria when he enlisted.

He was a sergeant with 12th Squadron when taking off on a mission to Balikpapan the aircraft crashed just after becoming airborne. 

The aircraft was destroyed by its depth charges exploding killing all crew members.

Also on board was Thomas Nathan Rust of Wynyard Tasmania .
