Fenton Maxwell William
Born 12th August 1911 Christmas Hills Tasmania to Lewis and Ketha Alice Fenton (nee Ralston) he enlisted at Burnie on the 22nd October 1941 and was posted to the 2/29 Australian Infantry Battalion. Photo from Mercury He was a prisoner of war in Burma where he became ill with dysentery and died in Bruce Hunt’s hospital camp. He is commemorated in the Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery.
