Informal portrait of friends TX50 Private (Pte) Patrick Joseph Lattin (left) and TX35 Sergeant (Sgt) Stanley Lloyd French, both of the 2/12th Battalion. Lattin of Hobart, Tas was an intelligence specialist for the 2/12 Battalion, 18th Australian Infantry Brigade, and was captured by German forced in Tobruk on 14 May 1941. French of Scottsdale, Tas, was killed in action on 14 April 1941 in Libya. Killed in Action FRENCH-Stanley Lloyd second son of Mr and Mrs Allan French Scottsdale killed in action April 14 1941 Aged 24 years. The Mercury 1 May 1941
