Gatenby David Welcome

 

 

 

Sig David Gatenby, son of Mrs O. Gatenby of Conara and the late Mr E. Gatenby of West Tamar, who, after having been missing in Greece since May, 1941, is presumed dead. Sig Gatenby married Miss June D'Emden, Hobart, and they had three sons and a daughter. His brothers are Thomas (Launceston), Ernest, and Albert(West Tamar), and sister, Rita (Mrs A.. J. Buchanan, Conara).

Before enlisting Sig Gatenby resided at West Tamar, and with a brother conducted a motor service between Deviot and Launceston. A long period of his boyhood was spent at Conara.
