Born 20 Feb 1914 155 George St Launceston Tasmania George William and Laura Gill (nee Summerfield) L/Cpl Gill was, like his brother, an orchardist when he enlisted in the 2/40 AIF. 

He too was a prisoner of war and died a month before his brother of Cholera and Beri Beri at Kinsaike Thailand.
