Gilligan Joseph Albert

 

TX8174 Private (Pte) Joseph Albert Gilligan 2/12 Battalion. Pte Gilligan enlisted in Hobart, Tasmania, on 2 December 1941. He died of wounds on 21 January 1943. He is buried in the Port Moresby (Bomana) War Cemetery.

GILLIGAN.-Died of wounds, New Guinea, on January 21, 1943, Pte Joseph Albert, AIF, third beloved son of Fred and the late Josephine Gilligan, of Hobart In the 30th year of his age.

GILLIGAN.-On January 21, 1943.in New Guinea, Joseph Albert, dearly loved fiance of Reita Taylor, of New Town.
