STRUCK BY CAR

Launceston RA.A.F. Trainee Killed

MELBOURNE, Monday.-When a number of airmen from the elementary flying training school at Benalla were walking along the roadway into the town at 7 p.m. yesterday two were struck by a car driven by Leading Aircraftman Kevin O'Dea which was travelling the same way.

Aircraftman James Tasman Green (35) married, with two children of Launceston, was killed Instantly, and Leading Aircraftman Lionel Albert Gale of Footscray, was admitted to hospital at the aerodrome in a critical condition. Both were attached to the elementary training school at Benalla. There were four passengers in the car.
