Grey Laurie
Private Laurie Grey was a member of ‘H’ Force 2/40 Infantry Battalion, captured by the Japanese in Timor and transported to the Burma-Thailand Railway where he was put to work on Hellfire Pass.
Laurie was one of 12,000 prisoners of war who died from malnutrition,
sickness or disease during the 16 month construction of the Burma
