Griffiths Daniel Brooke
SERVICE CASUALTIES Mr and Mrs L. G. Griffiths, of 17 Leopold St, South Yarra have been advised that their only son, Sgt Air Gunner Daniel Brooke Griffiths was reported killed in an aircraft accident near Nairn, Scotland. He was engaged in further training operations when he met his death in a Whitney bomber. He was 21, and was educated at Scotch College, Launceston, and Hutchin's School, Hobart. Before joining the RAAF in 1940 he was employed with British General Electric Co, Hobart. His father was for 17 years with the T. & G. Assurance Co in Tasmania. The Argus 7 May 1943
