Hill Garnett Joseph

Was a crew member of H.M.A.S Nizam when on the night of 11^th February 1945 the destroyer was struck by a freak wave as she rounded Cape Leeuwin in Western Australia The ship was travelling at 21 knots and the water swept down the ship sweeping boats and sailors overboard.
Garnett Joseph Hill was one of the missing sailors and despite all efforts it was impossible to find the missing in the darkness.
