Hopewell Arthur James

 

 

Born 5th May 1906 St Mary’s the son of Timothy and Mildred May Hopewell (nee Cunningham) a labourer living in Kyneton Victoria he served with the 2/28th Australian Infantry Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 27th July 1942 in Egypt and is commemorated in the El Alamein War Cemetery, El Alamein, Marsa Matruh, Egypt.
