Was on board a RAAF transport aircraft which crashed near Brisbane. There were 23 on board and all were killed.

The aircraft which was flying from Brisbane to Sydney crashed into heavy timber shortly after taking off in the darkness and was destroyed.

Of the 23 killed, 17 were members of the RAAF, one was an Australian Army officer, 2 were US Army officers and 3 were members of the WAAAF RAAF and WAAAF.

Sgt Max Invernia Thomas Jarvis was one of the passengers on board.
