July 1918 at Oatlands Tasmania he was the son of George Henry and
Amy Lethbridge Kearney (nee Percy). He was married and living in
Caulfield Victoria and working as a horse trainer when he enlisted
and was posted to the 16th Australian Infantry Brigade.
Sadly, his wife gave birth to a son two months after his death.
He was taken as a prisoner of war and sent to Stalag 18A where he was eventually executed on the 7th March 1944. He was buried in the Kries Cemetery Yugoslavia.
