Killworth William Deldon

 
 

 

Flt Sgt Killworth was the Air Gunner on Lancaster LM338 which took off from RAF Waddington on the night of 7th July to bomb storage sites at St Leu d’Esserent France.

Nothing was heard from the aircraft after take off and it did not return to base

After the war it was established that the aircraft crashed at Courgent.

All seven of the crew including Flt Sgt Killworth were killed and buried at Courgent Communal Cemetery.
