Sgt, TX4359 AIF Rabaul Hvy Bty, Royal Australian Artillery died 1 July 1942 Age 23 Son of Albert Leslie and Margaret Eileen Kirk, of Hobart, Tasmania.  

KIRK.-TP4769 Sgt Jack Brian Kirk(Art.), Rabaul, beloved youngest son of Mr A. L. Kirk and the late Mrs M. E. Kirk, of 481 Macquarie St., Hobart, and loving brother of Lionel (Victoria), Audrey (Mrs D. Mangan), and Eileen (Mrs .C J. Kent), aged 23 years; believed lost at sea while prisoner of war, July, 1942. Requiescat in pace.
