Born 8^th March 1918 91 Elphin Road Launceston to Evelyn Vernon and Ina Beresford Knight (nee Martin) 

On the 14^th Dec 1941 3 squadron tomahawks took off on a sweep over Martuba and met eight 109’s and 7 Stukas.  Two tomahawks were shot down – Donald Erskine Knight in Tomahawk 11B AN 285 was killed in this mission.
